Current research projects

Wing color patterns play an important role in Lepidoptera insects' survival and reproduction. For example, Uropyia meticulodina looks like a curled up, dead leaf, which helps make the moth invisible to predators. My work focus on solving the genetic basis and evolution history of the cryptic coloration in U. meticulodina.
